I just decided to call it a night (or very early morning) on working on the recipe booklet. I have everything dropped into place and now I just need to edit and format.
To tide you over until the booklet is ready, here’s a yummy recipe from my friend Julia that will be appearing in the Appetizers section:
Easy Olive Appetizer
Submitted by Julia
Take a couple types of olives: kalamata, large green, nicoise, whatever you may have with or w/out pits (you just eat them slower) and put them on a square of aluminum foil. Drizzle some good quality olive oil over them and add any combination of the following: unpeeled cloves of garlic, lemons, sliced onion, salt, pepper, spices, sprigs of rosemary or thyme, chopped cilantro/parsley/chives whatever you like. Add a couple hot peppers if you like it spicy. Wrap up the bundle: There is really no way to wreck this appetizer! If you are having a party, the olives can go in the oven to warm while other things cook, and it can even be done over a campfire or on a grill. Wait 15-30 minutes and ‘voila’ – unwrap and serve. You will not have leftovers of this app.
